Being an Active Learner: Athletics Day

On Friday the 18th of March we had our School Athletics Day. We did High jump, Sprints, Vortex throw, and the Bean bag throw. We also looked awesome in our house colours! Even though the sun didn't come out till the end of the day we had a great time competing and enjoying the events. Thanks Mr Mitchell for organising a great day, thanks to the rest of LNS staff for helping t go so smoothly, and thank you to all the parents who came and supported us.

Being A Learner: Nn is for Nest

One Monday 7th March we made nests as part of Language Experience.  We melted chocolate in the microwave and added cornflakes and coconut to it.  Next we mixed it together well and put spoonfuls into patty pans.  After that we chose an egg to put in our nest.  The best bit was eating them!  They were yummy!  We enjoyed baking at school.

Being a Learner: Thinking about our Flowers

We have some flowers on display on our Science table. There is some dye in the water that the flowers are in. Here is some of our thinking:
"There's water changing colours in the flowers"
"The blue is changing the flower"
"The flowers are drinking to make it turn colours"
"There's colour in the water"
"They will be rainbow flowers"
