Kapa Haka

Kapa Haka is a great time for us to sing waiata together.
It was amazing to see Judah's leadership skills come through. She enjoyed showing us the actions and helping Mrs Moore lead the class.
Ka pai Judah! We are very proud of our confidence and leadership 👍

We made kites!

In replacent of our trip to the beAch this term, each child at school was able to make a kite.
Room 2 enjoyed flying their kites with our buddy class.
Billie was trying hard not to get her kite tangled up with others!!

We were very lucky it was a windy day. The kites went really high😀

Mr Marsh enjoyed the kite flying too

Hot dogs!

Thankyou Emily for our yummy hotdog lunch!

Duffy Theatre

We were very lucky to have the Duffy Theatre come to perform for us on Thursday.
They taught us all about the library, how to get a card and find books.
It was very funny! Elshadaye even got to go up the front to help!
Well done Elshadaye! You made a great apple tree :) 👍

We made Rainbow cupcakes!

Miss Philp is going away for a week to get her tonsils out so we made some rainbow cupcakes to celebrate her birthday! It was a great time for us to refresh our colour names and learn about kitchen safety!

Welcome Salote

We would like to introduce you to Salote. We are all very excited to have a new member in Room 2. Salote went to Linwood north last year before moving over to a school in hornby. She is very happy to be back with us and is looking forward to meeting up with her old friends :)

N is for ninja!

We are learning to recognise and write the letter Nn. This week for our learning experience we made ninja biscuits. Mrs Tizzard showed us how to spread on the icing, put on the face and stick on the eyes. We got to take the biscuits home... Yummm!

Discovery Time

During discovery time, Room 2 was transformed into a construction center. The children were able to use boxes and containers to make whatever they wanted. Discovery time is a time for our tamarki to drive their own learning. It was great to see the children sharing, helping each other and working together to make robots, boats, skate ramps etc.

Christchurch Library came to visit

The amazing people at the Christchurch Library came to visit us. They read us some great interactive stories. We read about colour mixing and which animal sunk the boat. The children had a great time :)

Book Week Mufti Celebration

Wow! the tamariki looked great in their costumes for Book Week. Thank you Ms Maria-Soosai for taking these photos for us as I was away fro...
