This week we had a visit from Chris Lam Sam from Duffy books.   He presented some Duffy books to children in Rooms 2 & 3.   He was very enthusiastic about reading and books.  He told us about how he always wanted to be an author as a child,  and now he has published a book.  He told us to 'dream big'.

Also this week we have begun using equipment to make numbers for a video we are making about numbers

Maia-Grace and her RTD teacher Sam Warland had a fantastic time at a K.I.T day this Thursday.  This is a fun packed adventure day held once a term for children with a hearing impairment.
Maia-Grace focused on creating a wearable costume based on the popular children's story, "The rainbow fish".

Being a Learner: Tongan Week

We visited the Tongan Preschool today. It was great to see where some of us came from before we started school. We played with the younger children and made Tongan art inspired photo frames that we can take home!

Being a Learner: Cricket Awareness

We were very lucky today to have Cricket Awareness come and teach us some skills. We learnt to aim, throw and hit the ball. It was a great learning opportunity for us!
